Yes, righteous anger is often a necessary ingredient to refusing institutional victimhood. In addition, I suggest that moving beyond the ingrained belief of victimhood, and thus beyond anger, is what each individual can strive for. It’s a very difficult task, to say the least.
The thing is, many people take on the mantle of victimhood, and all of its associated rage, without truly being oppressed. “Karens” are perfect examples, but people of all political persuasions and backgrounds are being effectively manipulated to take on this belief. It seems to provide some sense of external validation, which humans crave.
