Yes, vaccine hesitancy is rational, but doctors are not necessarily good resources for information. My daughter’s former physician was an antivaxxer and promoted daily hydroxychloroquine as a preventive measure instead of vaccination. Underscore former.

The wait and see approach is reasonable. It can let people see what to expect and if there are any nasty surprises. Like with the adenovirus vectored vaccines. But with millions of doses given now, it’s time to jump in the pool, choose your vaccine, and get it. Unless you believe there is some conspiracy going on.
