Yes, words matter, and more and more they are being used to manipulate. It’s not just cognitive biases showing through, it’s an intentional effort to shape people’s beliefs towards a desired outcome. Gone are the days when journalists presented facts for their audience to digest and synthesize. Maybe those days never existed. Facts did, however. These days, even those seem to belong to a long ago time.
