Your take on quiet quitting seems spot on, although I don’t believe the intention is to divide generations.That may be one outcome. The crux of it is business cultures that create a mindset of “what’s the point of doing more than the minimum”?. It becomes a choice between doing the bare minimum or drinking the corporate koolaid and handing over your soul. There is a middle path, which I cultivated over the years, although it took me recognizing that the organization was already sucking away parts of what made me ME. Once I recognized that, I made it a point to do the opposite of what is portrayed on the show Severence. I brought all of myself to work, which was threatening to some and inspiring to others.
