Yup. I share your disappointment. The thing is, the market always gets to decide what it wants, and reward that accordingly. We live in a world in which sensationalism and polarization are what get people’s attention. That might be tolerable if the authors of those articles could actually write well.

I say write what you feel needs to be written, do it as well as you can, be curious and find ways to learn, and pay no attention to what’s popular. That’s a good way to live life as well.
